Sunny and warm with afternoon Zephyr winds today. Expect Reno to reach 87° and Montreux 84°. The last day of August will be the last day we will see the 80's in Reno this week as we begin a cooling trend Tuesday. Look for sunny skies, warm temperatures and winds in the 10 to 15 mph range gusting to 20 mph today. Temperatures will be near the seasonal average of 89°. Sunny, dry and cooler as we begin a new month Tuesday with a return of stronger afternoon Zephyr winds possibly gusting to 30 mph. Much cooler and dry Wednesday, in the low 70's in Reno, with afternoon Zephyr winds in the 10 to 15 mph range gusting to 20 mph. Continued sunny, dry and cool into the Labor Day weekend. Just as a heads up, there is a potential storm which could produce heavy rain in our area on Labor Day. Timing and intensity is still very much up in the air, watch for updates through the week.
