Sunny and very hot with some afternoon winds today. Expect Reno to reach 100° and Montreux 96°. Today is likely to be the hottest day this week as Reno may set a new record high. Look for sunny skies, dry conditions and some afternoon and evening winds today. Temperature will be well above the seasonal average of 85° in Reno. Wednesday will see the hot temperatures continue, but a few degrees cooler than today with afternoon Zephyr winds up to 25 mph. A slight chance for an afternoon thunderstorm mainly south of Hwy 50 through Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will see temperatures cool some with increasing chances for afternoon thunderstorms. Friday will see the best chance for thunderstorms. Winds will also increase raising fire danger. Back in the 80's in Reno for the weekend under sunny skies.
