Sunny and warm with gusty afternoon winds today. Expect Reno to reach 90° and Montreux 86°. Today will be the last day of our current hot spell with afternoon Zephyr winds and a few cumulus clouds over the Sierra. Look for sunny skies, dry with afternoon Zephyr winds in the 15 to 20 mph range today. Temperature will be just above the seasonal average of 89° in Reno. Friday will be cooler, partly cloudy, a slight chance for a shower mainly north of I80, and windy as a Cold Front and associated Trough moves into the Pacific Northwest. A RED FLAG WARNING for critical fire danger has been posted for Friday and Saturday with strong winds, gusts to 45 mph, and low humidity in our region. Saturday temperatures will be much cooler, in the mid to high 70's in Reno with sunny skies and strong winds. Very cool Sunday with sunny skies and lighter winds. Seasonal temperatures return next week.
