Mostly sunny and hot with afternoon Zephyr winds today. Expect Reno to reach 100° and Montreux 96°. Some clouds, mainly over the Sierra this afternoon as our heat wave continues through the weekend. Look for mostly sunny skies, low humidity and afternoon Zephyr winds in the 5 to 10 mph range gusting to 20 mph today. Today through Monday will be in the 100's in Reno and Valley locations with sunny skies, dry conditions and afternoon Zephyr winds. Expect some clouds to build in the afternoon this weekend with a slight chance of thunderstorms mainly south of Hwy 50 and east of the Truckee Meadows. Likely we will see the heat wave break mid next week with more seasonal temperatures. Stay hydrated and be aware of heat stroke if planning outdoor activities this week. Have a great weekend!!
