Mostly sunny and hot with stronger afternoon Zephyr winds today. Expect Reno to reach 99° and Montreux 94°. A slow cooling trend begins today as High pressure moves slowly east. Look for mostly sunny skies, dry with stronger afternoon winds in the 10 to 15 mph gusting to 25 mph today. Thunderstorms will remain south of Hwy 50. Temperatures are cooling slightly in Reno and Valley locations, more cooling this week to below the seasonal average of 93° in Reno. Morning and evening haze from local fires today and Tuesday. Thunderstorm chances increase Wednesday and Thursday as a Trough begins to draw more moisture into the area. High temperatures later this week drop into the 80's in Valley locations.
