Mostly sunny and hot with light winds today. Expect Reno to reach 95° and Montreux 91°. A mix of morning sun and afternoon clouds today as Monsoon moisture remains in the area. Temperatures will be near the seasonal average of 95° in Reno. Look for a slight chance for thunderstorms this afternoon and evening mainly south and east of the Truckee Meadows. Temperatures will remain hot with light winds in the afternoon except around any thunderstorms. Tuesday will see a much better chance for afternoon thunderstorms with slightly cooler temperatures due to heavier cloud cover. Monsoon moisture will be in our forecast through Wednesday, although chances for thunderstorms are only about 20%. Sunny, dry and increasing temperatures Thursday and into next weekend as Ridging builds back into the area.
