Sunny and hot with strong afternoon winds today. Expect Reno to reach 96° and Montreux 93°. Look for sunny skies, increasing afternoon Zephyr winds and dry conditions today. Temperatures will be just above the seasonal average of 94° in Reno. Today through Saturday temperatures will slowly increase, near 100° in Reno by Saturday as High pressure move east over the Four Corners region. Expect stronger afternoon Zephyr winds in the 20 mph range with gusts to 30 mph today. A RED FLAG WARNING has been posted for this afternoon and early evening. Saturday will be the hottest day of the week with afternoon Zephyr winds and cumulus clouds building over the Sierra. Sunday will be a few degrees cooler, light winds and partly cloudy skies as Monsoonal moisture works its way north from Baja. An increasing chance we will see afternoon thunderstorms next week with temperatures back in the 80's early in the week. Have a great weekend, stay hydrated!!!
