Sunny and hot with afternoon Zephyr winds today. Expect Reno to reach 101° and Montreux 97°. Smoke and haze in Valley locations continue this morning as the heat wave grips our area. Look for mostly sunny skies, very dry conditions with afternoon Zephyr winds in the 5 to 10 mph range gusting to 15 mph today. Today through Sunday will be solidly in the 100's in Reno and Valley locations with sunny skies, dry conditions and afternoon Zephyr winds. Saturday looks to be the hottest day this week. Haze will likely return in Valley locations in the early morning hours and late nights this week until local fires are extinguished. We may see some clouds build in the afternoon this weekend with a slight chance of thunderstorms south of Hwy 50. Stay hydrated and be aware of heat stroke if planning outdoor activities this week.
