Mostly sunny and very warm with afternoon Zephyr winds today. Expect Reno to reach 95° and Montreux 90°. We will finally break the streak of 100+ temperatures in Reno today as a cooling trend begins. Look for mostly sunny skies, dry with afternoon winds in the 10 to 15 mph gusting to 20 mph today. Thunderstorms will remain south of Hwy 50 and east of the Truckee Meadows. Morning and evening haze from local fires continue this week. Thunderstorm chances increase Wednesday and Thursday as a Trough begins to draw more moisture into the area. High temperatures will be below the seasonal average of 93° beginning Wednesday with plenty of cloud cover Wednesday and Thursday. Thunderstorm chances are less Friday and into the weekend with temperatures in Reno in the mid to high 80's.
